Groups from Ufa are taking part in all-Russian festival of theaters in French language in Kazan

Solemn opening of the annual all-Russian festival of theaters in French language has taken place in Kazan today. Kazan took the baton from Samara this year, the news-agency “Tatar-Inform” reports. 14 troupes from Saint-Petersburg, Kazan, Ufa, Irkutsk, Perm, Samara, Nizhniy Novgorod, Saratov and other Russian cities take part in the festival in 2009. Winners will be determined in two categories: “The best school theater among senior pupils (10-11 classes)” and “The best student theater among university and amateur troupes”. The trip to France is the Grand Prix of the festival. Two troupes – the winners in their categories – will receive this chance. The best actor and the best actress will be rewarded too. The jury is headed by the national artist of Russia and Tatarstan Vadim Keshner and the jury’s staff consists of Russian and French pedagogues.
