Contest of chorus band-masters is held in Ufa

The open Republican contest of chorus band-masters by Shamil Ibragimov is held in Ufa these days and ten people are taking part in it – students of Ufa Art College, OKTYABRSKY music college, Salavat music college and UTCHALINSKY art and culture college.

The coordinator of the contest Alfia Dgurbey reports the third tour and summing up the totals of the contest will be held already tomorrow. Today the band-masters are passing the second stage of the competition. They have to play with the female choir. The competition among chorus band-masters is held in Ufa for the seventh time. The first competition has taken place in 1994. Band-masters from Kazan, Saransk, Orenburg, Ufa and many other Russian cities became its participants in recent years.

The jury of the contest is headed by the head of the choir leading chair at Ufa State Academy of Arts, Professor Rizalya Bikmuchametova.
