Art gallery of Bashkir painters is opened in Kazan

The exhibition of works of Bashkir painters – members of the creative teamwork “Genghis-Khan”, devoted to Tatar national poet Gabdulla Tukay is opened in the exhibition hall of the National Cultural Center “Kazan” in the capital of Tatarstan. The exposition of works is called “The spirit of Tukay is immortal” and includes the works of Basil Khannanov, Rinat Kharisov and Rasykh Achmetvaleev.
The creative teamwork “Genghis-Khan” was founded in Ufa at the end of 80s – the beginning of 90s by talented painter Nail Lutfullin, who unfortunately snuffed out too early. Basil Khannanov heads the teamwork since 90s. The group is considered the community of conceptual painters and has become the symbol of Bashkir avant-garde. Their works are well-known in Russia, in the USA, Austria, Holland, Turkey, Spain and France.
The exhibition “The spirit of Tukay is immortal” is held within the frames of the actions, dated to the 123rd anniversary of Gabdulla Tukay.
