Play “SHAURAKAY” to be shown in Turkey

The Bashkir State Academic Dramatic Theater by M.Gafuri is invited to Turkey for participation in the International festival of Turk-speaking theaters. The festival will be held in the town of KONIA on April 14-25. Within the frames of the festival program the theater from Bashkortostan will present the premiere of the season, the romantic drama “SHAURAKAY” by the play of Mukhametshi Burangulov (staged by Airat Abushakhmanov), news-secretary of the theater Ramila Yagudina reports.

“As the organizers of the festival told us, our performance is appointed on April 21” – she said – “We are going to Turkey closer to April 20 and now the theater is actively preparing for the tour”.

The staff of Bashkir delegation will consist of 18 people, including the national artist of Russia and Bashkortostan Hurmatulla Utyashev and young actors Gilsesek Fazlyeva and Ruslan Khaisarov.

KONIA is the most ancient Turkish town. It managed to preserve its original historical color thanks to its numerous mosques and madrasahs. The international festival of Turk-speaking theaters is held there not for the first time and every year troupes from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Kosovo, Turkey, Northern Cyprus and other Turk countries gather in this ancient nook to join the festival.
