Chief Moscow neurosurgeon has highly estimated staff potential and equipping level of Regional vascular center

Chief Moscow neurosurgeon, Academician Vladimir Krylov has highly estimated the staff potential and the level of equipping in the Regional Vascular Center, saying that the Center possesses everything necessary to perform complicated neurosurgical operations.

Vladimir Krylov was found in Ufa on March 23-24. He has performed the operation on account of brain vessels pathology to a patient. Such operation has been performed in our region for the first time. At present time there are more than 7000 people in Russia with similar pathologies and only 1000 patients can be operated.

In 2008 Republic of Bashkortostan was included into the list of 12 regions RF, participating in the federal program on improvement of medical care for patients with vascular diseases. The Regional Vascular center was established on the base of Ufa ambulance hospital. Its primary wards are found in Ufa hospital N18 and in the towns of Beloretsk and Oktyabrsky. Federal exchequer allocated more than 241 million rubles for purchases of equipment and consumables and Republican budget – 120 million rubles.
