Ballet festival by Rudolph Nureev to be held in Ufa on June

International ballet festival by Rudolph Nureev will be held in 2009 in Ufa on June 22-28. News-service of Bashkir State Theater of opera and ballet reports the traditional ballet show will start with the first performance of the ballet “Prometheus”, staged by Rustem Sabitov by the tragedy of Mustai Karim.

The program of the festival includes ballets “Giselle” by Adan, “Raimonda” by Glazunov, “Romeo and Juliet” by Prokofiev, “The Swan’s Lake” by Peter Tchaikovsky and the final gala-show.

At present time organizers of the festival carry on negotiations with the soloists of Moscow Bolshoi Theater – Marianna Ryzkina, Andre Evdokimov and Natalie Vyskubenko and with the soloist of Mariinsky Theater Sergey Popov. Besides, the dancers from Madrid Laura Ormigon and Oscar Torrado, soloist of Dresden Theater Natalie Sologub and the duet from Paris “Grand-Opera” expected to take part in the festival too.

Pupils of Bashkir choreographic college by Rudolph Nureev will be also involved in the show.
