All-Russian contest for young musicians will start on March 18

The all-Russian contest among young musicians will start in Bashkortostan on Wednesday. This competition among pupils of children's art schools and music colleges is held for the 10th time and will cover for big cities RB - Salavat, Oktyabrsky, Neftekamsk and Ufa this year.

Salavat will be the first city, taking the baton on March 18. Drummers and brass players will compete there till March 20. On March 23 the contest will begin for musicians, playing folk instruments and Bashkir national instruments. The first ones will play in Oktyabrsky and the second - in Neftekamsk.

The competition for piano-players and violinists will be held in Ufa beginning from March 24 on the base of Ufa Arts College.

More than 400 pupils of children's art schools and music colleges, including musicians from 16 Russian regions, will participate in the contest, the contest curator Alfia Zurbey reports.

Solemn awarding ceremony and the gala-show of Grand Prix winners will take place on March 27 in the Concert Hall of Ufa Arts College.
