Residents of Bashkiria to have an additional day off in middle of week
May 27 marks Kurban Bayram.
This week, residents of the Republic of Bashkortostan will have an additional day off. On Wednesday, May 27, Kurban Bayram is celebrated, which is a non-working holiday in Bashkiria.
When granting annual paid leave, May 27 is not included in the number of calendar days of rest; that is, the vacation is extended by one day. The work duration on Tuesday, May 26, is reduced by 1 hour.
Kurban Bayram, or the Feast of Sacrifice, is celebrated 70 days after Uraza Bayram and is one of the two main Islamic holidays.
