State Duma is set to consider law on mobile pharmacies in Russia

The State Duma is set to consider a new law aimed at improving access to medications for residents in remote areas of Russia. On January 13, lawmakers will begin reviewing a bill proposing the establishment of mobile pharmacies that will deliver medications to communities without stationary pharmacies or pharmaceutical outlets, according to the State Duma press service.

The proposal indicates that one mobile pharmacy could serve up to 50 designated locations. Currently, there are approximately 83,000 pharmacies operating across the country, but only 14% of them are situated in hard-to-reach areas. This issue was previously highlighted during a live session with President Vladimir Putin.
