According to the regional Kurultai, the law will ensure the implementation of the federal technology policy law in Bashkortostan, which is essentially a tool for transitioning the economy to a new technological foundation.
"The federal strategy is not simply about supporting innovation, but about a targeted policy to replace foreign technologies with domestic equivalents in critically important sectors," explained Konstantin Tolkachev, Speaker of the Bashkortostan Parliament.
According to him, the adoption of this law will allow companies in the republic to participate in national projects aimed at technological sovereignty and to receive state support at various stages, from the initial scientific idea to serial production. The bill establishes the goals and objectives of technology policy in Bashkortostan, the instruments for its implementation, defines the powers of the republic's government bodies, and establishes incentive measures—from tax breaks and support for developing foreign markets to assistance in protecting intellectual property rights.
Technological development is a matter of national security and economic independence.
"In the face of global challenges, we cannot rely on the import of critical technologies. Therefore, it is crucial to strengthen cooperation between science and business and to create a favorable ecosystem for technology startups and industrial innovation. Bashkortostan's enterprises have the potential to be drivers of technological development," concluded Konstantin Tolkachev.
