Yuri Ivanov has been officially appointed Mayor of Birsk.

At a meeting of the Birsk Urban Settlement Council, deputies approved Yuri Ivanov's candidacy for the post of head of the administration, the mayor's press service reported. He has served as acting mayor since July.

Ivanov was born on February 8, 1975. He previously worked in the financial department of the Birsk administration and the Ministry of Finance of Bashkortostan, and also headed the Birsk branch of Bashkortostan's Bashkortostan Autonomous Transport Corporation.
