Ufa and Sukhum to sign sister city agreement
A Ufa delegation led by Mayor Ratmir Mavliev is on an official visit to Sukhum. On November 8, a meeting was held with Timur Agrba, the head of the administration of the Abkhaz capital.
He noted that tangible results have been achieved during the two cities' cooperation. For example, a colonnade—a replica of the one in Sukhum—was built in Ufa, becoming a symbol of their strong friendship.
The parties discussed several vital steps for further cooperation, the most significant of which was the signing of a sister-city agreement. The launch of air service between the cities is also expected.
The meeting participants toured the Sukhum embankment. Ufa specialists are actively involved in its modernization.
