Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law transitioning to year-round conscription for military service. The document was published on the official legal information portal.
Now, medical examinations, psychological screening, and draft board meetings will be held throughout the year. Conscripts will continue to be dispatched to the military in two stages: in the spring, from April 1 to July 15, and in the fall, from October 1 to December 31.
The law also establishes clear deadlines for reporting for an electronic summons—no later than 30 days from the date it is received on the Gosuslugi website. Conscripts' personal presence is no longer required to resolve issues regarding deferments or exemptions from service. Furthermore, military registration and enlistment offices are authorized to provide citizens with extracts from their military registration register, including online.
