Bashkortostan and Belarus discussed Industrial Cluster creation

The international industrial exhibition "Innoprom.Belarus" is underway in Minsk.

A delegation from Bashkortostan is participating in the industrial exhibition "Innoprom.Belarus." The program began with an official meeting between Rustam Muratov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan and Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy, and Viktor Karankevich, Prime Minister of Belarus. He noted that Bashkortostan is a critical region for the Republic of Belarus, a fact supported by trade figures.

Belarus, in turn, is among the top five countries in terms of Bashkortostan's foreign trade turnover.

At the meeting, the further development of the recently opened "Belarusian Machines" multi-brand center in Ufa was discussed. It has become an essential link in the service system for Belarusian equipment in Russia. Belarusian equipment manufactured by Amkodor, MTZ, MAZ, Bobruiskagromash, and Gomselmash will be serviced here. The parties focused on creating a Russian-Belarusian investment cluster—a preferential zone within the two countries offering unique support measures for investors on a "mirror basis." The cluster's creation in Russia and Belarus is expected to utilize an unprecedented set of investor support measures, including tax incentives, infrastructure incentives, subsidies, and other measures.

As Rustam Muratov noted, there is currently a pool of companies interested in participating in the planned cluster, both from Bashkortostan and Belarus. A legislative initiative has been developed to secure the cluster's status and has been submitted to the legislature for consideration.

Another area of cooperation remains the placement of retail spaces. A "Da Domu" store is planned to open in the Mega shopping and entertainment center in Ufa by the end of the year. The store will offer Belarusian-made home and interior design products.
