The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, has signed a decree establishing grants to support projects in the creative industries. The document was published on the region's official legal information portal.
The annual grants are intended to foster the development of creative industries in the republic as a "core sector of the creative economy and to provide state support for projects in this field," the decree states. Grants will be awarded to entities in the creative industries that meet the criteria outlined in the federal law "On the Development of Creative Industries in the Russian Federation."
The total amount allocated from the republican budget for grants in 2025 is 25 million rubles.
In May 2025, Radiy Khabirov convened the first "Creative Industries Hour" meeting. The region has identified fourteen key sectors of the creative economy.
Support measures include the Head of the republic's grants, tax holidays, reimbursement of costs related to working with online marketplaces and digital advertising, among others.
To strengthen collaboration with entrepreneurs in the creative sector, seven pilot municipalities have been selected: Ufa, Sterlitamak, Agidel, Sibay, Birsk, Chishminsky, and Beloretsky districts. It is also proposed to establish volunteer advisor positions under the heads of municipalities to facilitate communication with local creatives.
