Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a video message to the forum participants. The head of state emphasized that meetings of representatives of the regions of the two countries have become an excellent tradition. This year, more than 800 delegates from 79 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and all Belarusian regions are participating in the forum. Vladimir Putin thanked the forum participants for their contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership. He noted that all regions of Russia and Belarus are participating in the implementation of joint mutually beneficial projects.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko sent a video greeting to the forum delegates. He emphasized that over the years of its work, the Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus has proven its effectiveness.
A series of meetings between representatives of Bashkortostan and Belarus were held within the framework of the forum. Thus, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan, Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy Rustam Muratov, met with the First Deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus, Andrei Konyushko. The parties discussed the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two republics, with a focus on deepening industrial cooperation. The delegation from Bashkortostan visited the exhibition showcasing the achievements of the national economies of Russia and Belarus. In particular, the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant, which produces modern trolleybuses together with the Minsk Automobile Plant, presented its products there. More than 700 of these vehicles have already been delivered to customers from 14 regions of Russia. In the future, trolleybuses are planned to be manufactured at a new site in Bashkortostan. For this purpose, the joint venture "Territory of Development of Electric Transport ", MAZ-UTTZ, was registered in February 2025. Rustam Muratov met with the management of the new company. He discussed plans for the development of production, as well as interaction within the framework of the planned Russian-Belarusian investment cluster. The estimated volume of investments in the plant construction project is 1.3 billion rubles.
As part of the forum, the youth government of Bashkiria signed a cooperation agreement with the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union". It facilitates joint work on implementing projects and programs, as well as organizing events in the field of youth policy across the territory of the Union State.
