Heads of Bashkortostan and Dagestan signed cooperation agreement
On June 19, 2025, at the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Radiy Khabirov, Head of Bashkortostan, and Sergey Melikov, Head of Dagestan, signed an intergovernmental cooperation agreement.
Recall that the first agreement on trade and economic cooperation between the two republics was signed on May 16, 1995.
"Many things connect our republics. The Dagestan National and Cultural Center has been successfully operating in Bashkortostan for over 20 years. Our Bashkir enterprise, Salavatsteklo, is actively operating in your republic. We are pleased to see how multinational Dagestan is developing. There are many similarities between our republics," said Radiy Khabirov.
The head of Dagestan, in turn, noted that the document will expand the prospects for cooperation between the two regions.
