Social Fund of Russia named main amendments for pensioners

In 2024, by the president's and the government's decision, two critical measures to support senior citizens were introduced. This was recalled by the Chairman of the Social Fund of Russia, Sergei Chirkov, during a meeting with the head of the federal cabinet, Mikhail Mishustin. These are:

- indexation of pensions for working pensioners, carried out in a proactive format (without submitting applications), and the automatic inclusion of a supplement in the retirement for caring for citizens over 80 years old and disabled people of group I;

- annual indexation of such a payment. Thanks to the simplification of the procedure, its recipients increased from 2.6 million to 5.3 million people.

Annually, the SFR provides about 280 million services, over 90% of which are electronic.
