Deputies of the State Assembly—Kurultay Bashkiria—plan to make changes and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus at the nearest plenary meeting. The head of the republic, Radius Khabirov, submitted the corresponding document.
As explained by the chairman of the State Assembly, Konstantin Tolkachev, among other things, the powers of the head of the region will be supplemented, and the circle of subjects that can submit bills to Kurultay will be expanded.
“The Constitution of Bashkortostan establishes the principles of organizing public authorities established by federal legislation. At the constitutional level, the structure of the republican parliament is determined. The list of issues related to the jurisdiction of the Government of the Republic of Belarus is clarified. Thus, the powers of the legislative body additionally include control over compliance with republican laws, the resolution of distrust or trust in the Prime Minister of the Republic and its deputies, and hearing information on the activities of local authorities.
The right of legislative initiative is proposed to be entrusted to the Youth Public Chamber under the State Assembly on its maintenance issues. This will contribute not only to improving state youth policy but also to increasing the civil activity of youth and forming their legal and political culture, ”said the parliament speaker.
The parliamentary committee supported the bill. Deputies intend to complete the work on him in the spring session.
