Russia has proposed that BRICS create Gastronomic Tourism Association
The Russian delegation proposed that BRICS countries create a Gastronomic Tourism Association at a meeting of the tourism working group, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
“The global gastronomic tourism industry has demonstrated rapid growth in recent years. According to experts, 2025 its volume will reach more than $1 trillion worldwide. Such dynamics may be associated with an increase in spending on tourist trips, an increase in the number of niche tours, and increased attention to eco-friendly nutrition among tourists,” said Nikita Kondratyev, Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
