Bashkiria has adopted a law on the State Register of National Heritage of the Republic. The decision was made in the final reading at today's plenary session of the deputies of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkiria.
According to Konstantin Tolkachev, the chairman of the regional parliament, the State Register of National Heritage of the Republic is a unique document with no analogues in the regional legislation of other subjects. It was established by the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Bashkortostan to preserve the memory of ancestors, support continuity, and solidarity among generations.
“Unique natural monuments, objects of spiritual, cultural, historical heritage — what our region is famous for, what determines its uniqueness, national color, will be included in the State Register of National Heritage of the Republic of Bashkortostan. These include objects of intangible ethnocultural heritage, such as the Bashkir language, Bashkir folk music, musical and poetic creativity, traditional ritual holidays, including the Bashkir wedding ceremony and the spring holiday. The register will also include the famous Bashkir honey, kurai, and kumys. In total, the law reflects 36 objects of national heritage. Among them are complex objects, for example, a system of fortified settlements — archaeological monuments of the Bronze Age,” said Konstantin Tolkachev. He also added that the law provides for a mechanism for replenishing the register. Proposals for the inclusion of new objects in it will be considered by a special interdepartmental commission, the composition of which will be approved by the government of the republic.
