Vladimir Putin signed law concerning family members of SMO participants

Vladimir Putin signed a law granting the right to additional unpaid leave to spouses, children, and parents who need to care for service members undergoing rehabilitation after being wounded on the SMO.

Unpaid leave will be granted for 35 days per year. Family members can use it to care for their relatives - SMO fighters who were wounded, concussed, or injured while performing combat missions, as well as an illness related to service in the special operation zone. Employers will be required to provide such leave based on a written application from the employee.

In addition, according to the law, the list of categories of citizens who can receive leave of up to 14 days per year without pay is expanded. The employer will have to provide it upon request to parents, spouses, and children of soldiers who died as a result of injury or illness related to service.
