On April 1 in Moscow, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, participated in a strategic session on the development of the oil and coal industries until 2050. The session was chaired by the Chairman of the Russian Government, Mikhail Mishustin.
The participants discussed long-term plans for the development of the country's oil industry and coal complex. They also discussed improving measures of state support for them and forming effective incentives for attracting private investors, and achieving the national goals set by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the Government noted that the oil and coal industries are the most important sectors of the domestic economy. They are key to the sustainable operation of enterprises and to ensuring the quality of life of citizens.
"Despite the sanctions, Russia is leading in the global energy markets. We are actively expanding logistics routes, primarily toward friendly states. We are financing the relevant infrastructure. But at the same time, we reliably provide for our needs. The president set this task. To strengthen technological sovereignty in all areas of the fuel and energy complex, we launched the national project “New Nuclear and Energy Technologies” at the beginning of this year, within the framework of which we will more actively support the development and implementation of advanced domestic solutions, modern materials, equipment, and components. This will allow companies to modernize production facilities faster. And, through joint efforts, build a solid foundation for future growth,” said Mikhail Mishustin.
Among the main tasks of developing the fuel and energy complex are expanding field development, including in new regions of Russia, improving transport infrastructure, and accessing foreign markets.
