Law on foreign agents in government has come into force in Bashkiria
The law adopted by the deputies of the State Assembly of Bashkiria, providing for the early termination of powers of persons holding positions in government if they receive the status of a foreign agent, was signed by the Head of Bashkiria. The corresponding changes were made to the laws "On the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan" and "On the status of a deputy of the State Assembly - Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan."
According to Konstantin Tolkachev, Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkiria, this law will help strengthen our country's sovereignty and security. Government officials have broad powers and access to confidential information, which is incompatible with foreign influence and financing. The law has officially come into force.
