State Duma paid attention to teachers' salaries

The State Duma discussed measures to support teachers and regulate schoolchildren's workloads. Thus, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko recalled that the Russian Ministry of Education is already implementing a unified model for training teachers for subordinate universities. He also addressed raising the status of teachers and medical workers and their salaries.

Sergey Kravtsov, head of the Russian Ministry of Education, discussed the decisions already enshrined in the law on staffing. He said the department supported adopting the law on additional professional education for teaching staff. In addition, special attention is paid to the remuneration system and reducing teachers' workload. Work has begun with the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Finance of Russia to form sample staffing schedules and standard regulations for educational institutions.

"The Ministry of Justice has already registered a key document for the education system, which regulates the workload of schoolchildren, introducing unified planning by subject, which allows for the regulation of teacher working hours," the press service of the Russian Ministry of Education quotes the minister as saying.
