The press service of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan reported that Radiy Khabirov signed a decree appointing Azat Askarov as the region's Minister of Trade and Services.
By another decree of Radiy Khabirov, the Minister of Trade and Services of Bashkortostan, Alexey Gusev, was relieved of his post at his request. By order of the Head of the region, Alexey Gusev was appointed Advisor to the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan on Strategic Interaction with Business.
Azat Askarov was born on June 10, 1981, in Bakaevo, Kushnarenkovsky District. He graduated from the Russian State University of Trade and Economics and the Bashkir Academy of Public Administration and Management under the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
From 2020 to 2021, he was the First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan on Trade and Consumer Protection. 2021–2024, he was the Republic of Bashkortostan's First Deputy Minister of Trade and Services. In 2024–2025, he represented Bashkiria at the Trade Mission of Russia in Uzbekistan.
