Bashkortostan Prime Minister spoke about plans for cooperation with China

Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov discussed plans for cooperation between the region and China. February 14 was chosen because today marks 75 years since the conclusion of the Soviet-Chinese Treaty of Friendship, Alliance, and Mutual Assistance.

"This document, which existed for 30 years, clearly shows that the Soviet leadership understood the importance and prospects of the Far Eastern policy, although the relations between our countries went through different periods," the Bashkir Prime Minister notes in his social networks.

China is Bashkortostan's largest foreign partner. The PRC accounts for almost a quarter of the republic's foreign trade turnover.

"We are not going to slow down the pace of cooperation. Many interesting projects are planned for the near future. Here are just a few of them.

Investments. During the Zauralye investment sabantuy last year, our NPP Bashkirus and the Chinese manufacturer of automatic irrigation systems, Dayu Irrigation Group, agreed to establish an enterprise to produce agricultural equipment in the Alga SEZ. There is also a project of the Qingyang Agricultural Company Zhiyinda on the possible launch of joint mushroom production.

Export. We are increasing vegetable oil exports, including rapeseed oil, to China. Last year, the Chishminsky Oil Extraction Plant already sent 10,000 tons of oil to our friendly country. In 2024, we also sent three batches of dry milk to China, totaling 113 tons, and we are increasing flax exports. We will continue to work in this direction.

Science and education. Our University of Science and Technology and Changzhou University signed an agreement to establish an institute designed to train 3 thousand students from China. Our university's leading scientists will teach about 30% of the disciplines in English. For now, training is planned for new promising programs, such as "Mechatronics and Robotics," Andrey Nazarov said.
