State Duma will consider bill on military pensioners' pension indexation
The State Duma will consider the bill on the indexation of pensions for military pensioners and persons equivalent to them to the level of actual inflation as a matter of priority. This was reported in the State Duma Telegram channel.
"The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, instructed to index pensions for the military. It is important that the indexation will be carried out from January 1, 2025," emphasized the Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin.
At the legislative level, military pensions were indexed by 5.1%. According to the bill, the indexation was additionally increased by 4.4% on the head of state's instructions.
"The bill will be considered by the State Duma as a matter of priority so that military pensioners and law enforcement pensioners equivalent to them receive increased payments as soon as possible. Our task is to support those who defended the country and citizens for many years and ensure security, law, and order,” said Vyacheslav Volodin.
