Head of Bashkortostan thanked Vladimir Putin for awarding honorary title to Ishimbay

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, thanked the Russian president for awarding Ishimbay the honorary title of "City of Labor Valor." Vladimir Putin signed the corresponding decree today.

In his post on social networks, the head of the region spoke about Ishimbay.

"It is symbolic that this happened in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. During the Great Patriotic War, Ishimbay - the "second Baku" - met the needs of the war front. 4.5 million tons of oil were produced here - a quarter of all the USSR received during the war.

Ishimbay became the second "City of Labor Valor" in Bashkortostan after Ufa. The republic's residents brought the Victory closer with their exploits at the front and rear and daily selfless work.

In recent years, Ishimbay has been actively developing. The city has beautiful parks and squares, and the main square, the Discoverers of Bashkir Oil, has been landscaped. The economy is working well, thanks to the Alga Special Economic Zone and, of course, the hardworking residents of Ishimbay.

The city is also transforming thanks to the Bashneft company, which invests heavily in the social sphere of Ishimbay. This year, the city turns 85. New solutions and interesting projects for Ishimbay residents are ahead." Radiy Khabirov also noted that the stele "Ishimbay - City of Labor Valor" will be installed in one of the best places. It will be chosen together with the city residents.
