Dmitry Medvedev held meeting with Volga Federal District region heads in Ufa

On December 24, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the country's security council, met in Ufa with the heads of the regions of the Volga Federal District. The press service of the Head of Bashkortostan reported that the progress of selecting citizens for military service under a contract was on the agenda.

The discussion was attended by Igor Komarov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Volga Federal District; the plenipotentiary representatives of the heads of state in other federal districts; Radiy Khabirov, the head of Bashkortostan; the Deputy Minister of Defense of the country—chief of the Main Military Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation; General of the Army Viktor Goremykin; and representatives of the General Staff and the central military district.

“The results of the work for 2024 can already be assessed. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced them at an expanded meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense. Almost 440 thousand people signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense this year. I want to thank all the heads of the regions of Russia for this work,” said Dmitry Medvedev.
