Rural and family mortgages should be unlimited — Putin
During a direct line on December 19, the Russian president said there should be no limits on family and rural mortgages.
“This is an important tool in housing construction. 50% of the housing built is individual, mainly in rural areas. They are taken out most often at the age of 40. People build houses and families. There should be no limits,” the head of state said and instructed the government to send subsidies to the regions.
These mortgage programs will continue to operate. According to Vladimir Putin, a proposal to close IT mortgages was considered, but calculations showed that their effectiveness is higher than the costs.
Preferential mortgages at 2% per annum will also be available for the Far East, the Arctic, and new regions of Russia.
