Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order expanding the list of foreign countries whose citizens can apply for a single electronic visa to enter Russia.
Barbados, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan, and Eswatini were added.
The document excluded Serbia and Andorra from the list, with which bilateral agreements on mutual visa-free travel for citizens have been concluded. Thus, the list now includes 64 countries.
The mechanism for issuing electronic visas was launched on August 1, 2023. They are issued on the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal for tourist, business, humanitarian, and guest trips. To obtain an electronic document, no invitations, hotel reservations, or any other documents confirming the purpose of the trip are required. Registration takes no more than four days. Children under six years of age are issued a visa free of charge.
