Direct Line with Head of Bashkiria helped identify problems that worry society

Political scientist Nikolai Evdokimov believes that yesterday's Direct Line with the Head of Bashkiria is an effective tool for monitoring social problems.

"This format of communication allows us to understand what worries society. We saw that people make requests and share their most pressing concerns. Of course, many of these issues fall within the scope of responsibility of municipal authorities. Even though Radiy Khabirov spoke quite complimentarily about the heads of municipalities, it is clear that the more questions come from the city or district, the worse things are with communications and monitoring problems there," the expert believes.

Nikolay Evdokimov draws attention to the fact that questions concerning specific life situations prevail over global, strategic ones.

"Questions concerning strategic development, the domestic political agenda, were asked mainly by journalists. People are most interested in what surrounds them: improvement, transport, roads. Many of these questions are permanent. New microdistricts are being built in the republic, and it is necessary to create social and transport infrastructure there, so they will always ask about this. The head of the republic is quite self-critical in assessing the results of work in some areas. If the government can reflect this way, this is right,” noted Nikolai Evdokimov.
