Vladimir Putin called regional ties between Russia and Kazakhstan key

The plenary session of the 20th Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan is held in the Wrestling Palace in Ufa.

Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the forum participants via video link from Astana. The head of state noted that the forum in Ufa is dedicated to trade and investment cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan.

"Representatives of 30 subjects of the Russian Federation and 13 regions of Kazakhstan have gathered in Ufa. That is, precisely those regions most actively involved in practical activities to expand bilateral partnerships. The general attitude to achieving specific results in the search for the implementation of new projects is important. This is evidenced by a solid package of interregional agreements, memorandums, and commercial contracts," Vladimir Putin said.

On November 26, the 20th Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan opened in the capital of Bashkortostan. The potential for trade and economic cooperation between the regions of Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as the expansion of interregional ties and opportunities for industrial cooperation between the two countries, are discussed on the forum's sidelines.

Following the anniversary forum, the countries will sign an interregional and cross-border cooperation program, which includes about 140 events in 12 different industries.
