Ufa to Give Names to Park and New Streets

The next meeting of the Ufa City Council, which will take place on November 27, is planned to consider assigning names to parks and new streets. The draft of the corresponding decision is published on the City Council's website.

According to the documentation, the park in the Kirovsky District is proposed to be named "450th Anniversary of Ufa Square," the new street may be named in honor of General Makhmut Gareev, a participant in the Great Patriotic War.

Another street in the Kirovsky District of the capital is planned to be named in honor of Bashir Rameev, a scientist and inventor who created the first domestic computer.

The published documents specify that the new streets' names were chosen per the law "To perpetuate the memory of persons with outstanding achievements and special services to the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as historical events."
