Vladimir Putin spoke about Western missile strike consequences

The strikes on Russian territory by Western long-range missiles have given the conflict in Ukraine a global character. This was indicated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking on television.

"From this moment, as we have repeatedly emphasized, the conflict in Ukraine, previously provoked by the West, has acquired elements of a global character. Our air defense shot down the missiles. The enemy did not achieve its goals," Vladimir Putin said.

The Russian President especially noted that the United States and NATO countries, by allowing the use of long-range missiles, continued the course toward further escalation of the conflict. He emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot use such weapons without the direct participation of military specialists from manufacturing countries.

The Head of State also stated that Russia struck Yuzhmash in Dnepropetrovsk with a ballistic missile in a non-nuclear hypersonic warhead. He noted that the complex that was hit there, among other things, produces missile technology.

"On the territory of Ukraine, in the city of Dnepropetrovsk, one of the largest and most famous industrial complexes from the times of the Soviet Union, which still produces missile technology and other weapons, was damaged," Putin said in his address.

According to the President, there are no means of counteracting the latest Russian missiles.
