Upcoming Russia-Kazakhstan forum in Ufa will open up new opportunities

Traditionally, chemical industry products, timber, oilfield equipment, metals, and metal products go from Bashkortostan to Kazakhstan. Our neighbors send us engineering products, food, chemical, and metallurgical products. What is most surprising is that even oil and gas companies exchange not what they dug out of the ground but technologies and equipment for local mining companies.

Among the joint projects is constructing a production site for the Ural Spring Plant in Kazakhstan. It will manufacture components for railway cars and locomotives for export to Turkey and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The investment volume is estimated at 500 million rubles.

There are examples of other alliances, such as the production of medical furniture and equipment or the construction of the Zhanaozen Gas Processing Plant. And this is just the beginning. At the official meeting of the Head of Bashkortostan and the President of Kazakhstan in January of this year, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that Bashkortostan occupies a special place in the strategic partnership of Kazakhstan with the Russian Federation.

In turn, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, outlined the priorities for further strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Such a strong desire for friendship between the two peoples can be explained by common ethnic ties that go back to the Bronze Age, centuries-old traditions of good neighborliness, or, nevertheless, an attempt to break out of the karmic circle, which is both the key to the financial stability of both territories and their curse.

The official visit of the Bashkortostan delegation to Kazakhstan became a tectonic shift in scientific, industrial, transport, and educational cooperation. Then, about 1,000 people took part in the business forum, including representatives of 400 Kazakhstan and 74 enterprises in Bashkortostan. More than 400 business negotiations took place on the sidelines of the congress, and about 120 agreements were reached. All of them were included in the updated roadmap for cooperation between Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan. No less significant should be the XX Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan, which will be held on November 26-27 in Ufa. This is a unique platform for B2B meetings with the participation of representatives of government bodies. An exposition of the two countries, demonstrating the achievements of the national economies of Russia and Kazakhstan, where products of the Republic of Bashkortostan will also be presented. The Forum of Young Leaders, "Youth Entrepreneurship in Russia and Kazakhstan: Exchange of Experience and Partnership Prospects," will bring together 300 participants for joint initiatives and exchange of experience.
