At a meeting of the Bashkortostan government chaired by the acting Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov, the issue of using artificial intelligence technologies by the objectives of the national project "Digital Economy" was discussed.
"Artificial intelligence has enormous potential for improving many aspects of public administration and can become an important tool for increasing the efficiency of the public sector. According to the analytical report of the National Center for the Development of Artificial Intelligence under the Government of Russia, based on last year's results, the republic is in 5th place in terms of personnel for the development and use of this technology. We also occupy 5th place in the use of artificial intelligence in regional public sector systems. At the same time, almost all solutions are domestic," Andrey Nazarov clarified.
"Along with the introduction of traditional artificial intelligence systems, new areas have opened up that make it possible to significantly increase labor productivity, improve government agencies' efficiency, and achieve positive social effects. In Bashkortostan, AI is actively used in various fields and various forms, including voice assistants, video surveillance cameras, and computer vision,” commented Gennady Razumikin, Acting Minister of Digital Development of Public Administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Since the end of 2023, a voice assistant has been introduced in Bashkortostan on the single number “122” of the contact center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic with 9 different scenarios. Over 10 months of this year, almost three million calls were received on this line, 25% of which were processed by the robot.
Artificial intelligence is used on the republic's roads to ensure transport safety. The integrated intelligent video surveillance system launched in 2020 has 1,000 cameras, which include facial recognition, smoke and fire detectors, detection of crowds, entry and parking of cars on lawns, and abandoned objects. With the help of cameras, you can monitor how snow and garbage are removed and public safety. Gennady Razumikin also noted that the implementation of the national project "Data Economy", including the project "Artificial Intelligence", will begin in 2025. One of the project's key activities is" creating, filling, and providing access to the centralized state data infrastructure.
