Russian President Vladimir Putin said the CIS countries will jointly celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in 2025.
"In 2025, we will jointly celebrate the eightieth anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In the countries of the Commonwealth, this will be a year of peace and unity in the fight against Nazism," Putin said during his speech at the CIS summit in a narrow format.
In this regard, the Russian President also proposed establishing the honorary title of the City of Labor Glory in the CIS and assigning it to the cities of the Commonwealth whose residents made a special contribution to achieving Victory in the Great Patriotic War, ensuring the uninterrupted production of military and civilian products. According to the President, this will become a symbol of recognition and respect for the collective feat of our people.
