At the first plenary session of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin outlined seven key priorities in deputies' work for the upcoming session. These are:
“Among our permanent priorities in work is protecting traditional values, culture, the institution of family and childhood. By the end of September, we will consider bills on a ban on the adoption of Russian children for citizens of those countries where gender reassignment is permitted on increasing liability for involving minors in criminal activity via the Internet. We need to protect our children. Therefore, colleagues, this is also our priority,” said State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin.
The Chairman of the State Duma said that 1,113 bills are in the legislative portfolio of the State Duma, of which 236 were adopted in the first reading and two in the second.
