Russia to open embassy in Dominican Republic
The Russian government will open an embassy in the Dominican Republic. The corresponding order signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Mikhail Mishustin, was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
"Accept the proposal of the Russian Foreign Ministry, agreed upon with the interested federal executive bodies, to establish the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Dominican Republic," the document states.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will establish the embassy's staffing level and approve the schedule. The costs of opening and maintaining the diplomatic mission will be financed from funds allocated to the Russian Foreign Ministry in the federal budget.
