Central Election Commission recorded highest voter turnout in Bashkiria

Voting has ended throughout the Russian Federation. Ella Pamfilova, the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, announced this yesterday evening during a briefing at the information center.

Ella Pamfilova noted that the maximum voter turnout as of 6 p.m. local time was recorded in the elections of senior officials in Bashkortostan. The turnout in the republic was more than 69%.

People also actively went to vote in the Kemerovo Region - more than 63%, in the elections of deputies of the legislative assemblies in the Kabardino-Balkarian and Karachay-Cherkess Republics - 65% each, in the municipal elections in Birobidzhan - 55% and Vladikavkaz - almost 52%.

Recall that the current head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, received 80.21% of the votes in the elections of the Head of the Republic. More than 1.724 million voters in the republic voted for Radiy Khabirov, according to preliminary data from the Russian Central Election Commission based on the results of counting 100% of the ballots as of 6:25 a.m. on September 9, 2024.

Ella Pamfilova asked her regional colleagues not to rush, calmly recheck all the data, and only sign the protocol.

“Study all the complaints and appeals and check the information on possible violations. Seal the boxes or cancel the voting results for individual polling stations if necessary. And only then, with a clear conscience and a pure soul, hold the final meetings,” she said.
