The republic's electoral system is ready to hold the vote on September 6, 7, and 8, 2024. Precinct commissions are provided with everything necessary for work, and commission members are undergoing final instructions. The Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Bashkiria, Azat Galimkhanov, announced this at a meeting of the government of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
"There are 218 election campaigns in the region (elections of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, by-elections of the deputy of the State Assembly - Kurultai, and 216 election campaigns for the election of deputies of representative bodies of local self-government). The Central Election Commission of the Republic provides preparation for the elections, 69 territorial election commissions, and 3302 precinct election commissions. One commission was formed in Moscow. The elections are held by about 28 thousand members of election commissions, represented by various political parties, local government bodies, and voter assemblies," - reminded Azat Galimkhanov.
Five candidates from all parliamentary parties have registered. They are participating in the elections of the Head of the Republic, and three candidates are fighting for the mandate in the by-elections of the State Assembly deputy. 4,435 candidates are participating in the election campaigns at the municipal level.
Candidates from 10 political parties have registered for the elections at all levels. Almost 3 million people will be able to vote in all election campaigns.
As reported by the head of the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan, the process of producing and transferring ballots to the republic's territorial commissions has been completed. On September 4, ballots will be received by all precinct election commissions of the region.
Azat Galimkhanov concluded that all precinct election commissions are fully provided with technological equipment, software, necessary printing, and stationery products.
