Russia is completing formation national projects list for 2025-2030

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin held a strategic session on preparing national projects for 2025-2030. The first developments on them appeared at the end of last year, and a wide range of experts were involved in the specific content of 19 documents, he recalled: "Each with its own large-scale goals for the further development of our country until the end of the current decade." The head of government considers the national projects "Family," "Infrastructure for Life," "Long and Active Life," and "Youth and Children" to be the most important ones - where joint efforts should be concentrated. They contain vital solutions for improving citizens' lives, improving the environment's quality in populated areas, solving demographic issues, supporting motherhood and childhood, the healthcare and education system, and providing housing. "Their implementation will allow us to build thousands of new schools, kindergartens, sports facilities, carry out major renovations of cultural and higher education facilities, continue modernizing housing and public transport, improving the condition of roads and landscaping territories," the head of government outlined the expected results.

Nine national projects will be aimed at achieving technological leadership in Russia. "Which in the current conditions, with the continuation of external challenges and unfriendly actions on the part of some states, is of great importance," the prime minister noted.

The country needs to continue creating its production base in the coming years. Thus, dozens of new technological chains should appear in the chemical industry by the end of the decade, over 15 production facilities and 60 products in the field of composite materials, and the production of drones, Mishustin recalled, needs to be increased more than fivefold. An essential task for domestic civil aviation is that at least half its fleet should be Russian aircraft.

The prime minister said that such decisions are designed to continue the profound transformation of the Russian economy towards a supply-side economy. This means increasing the share of its non-resource component. By 2030, the government must increase the gross value added in absolute terms and the manufacturing production index by at least 40% compared to 2022 and ensure that the country enters the top ten world leaders in research and development.

Economic growth should entail an increase in the well-being of citizens, the income of enterprises, and an increase in private investment, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said. The problem with qualified personnel remains acute. These tasks are targeted by the national projects "Efficient and Competitive Economy," "Personnel," "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State," and "Tourism and Hospitality."

The government has little time left to finalize the national projects. In September, Mikhail Mishustin noted that their entire portfolio must be sent to the Presidential Council for Strategic Development.
