Business in Bashkiria is developing despite difficulties — Radiy Khabirov

Small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of the economy in Bashkiria, accounting for a third of the gross regional product. The head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, writes on his social media that this sector continues to develop despite all the difficulties and challenges.

“There are 132.3 SMEs in Bashkortostan, 5% more than a year ago. In total, 560 thousand people are employed in small and medium businesses, and another 226 thousand are self-employed. Their number has increased by 21.5% since the beginning of the year, and income has grown by 78%—to 13.7 billion rubles.

Let me remind you what our successes are made up of.

1.1 billion rubles — state support for the development of entrepreneurship in 2023. Another 1 billion rubles are planned for 2024.

709.6 million rubles, 695.4 million from the federal budget, were allocated in 2023 to implement the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives."

In 2023, 165 social enterprises and 262 young entrepreneurs received grants, and 108 SMEs received grants and subsidies for ​​agricultural support.

Entrepreneurship development institutions are active: the Microcredit Company for Small Business, the Regional Leasing Company, and the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship.

The My Business Center and the Export Support Center continue to operate.

Our business sheriffs in the cities and districts of the republic are proving their effectiveness. Over the past six months, 1,575 "Entrepreneurial Hours" were held in municipalities, where 2,111 projects were considered. The total amount of declared investments is 78 billion rubles," the Head of the region stated.
