Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that amended the federal law, “On the status of a senator of the Russian Federation and the status of a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.”
According to the innovations, senators and deputies must coordinate travel outside the Russian Federation unless this concerns official business trips. In the event of an uncoordinated departure, the powers of deputies and senators may be terminated early by a decision of the relevant chamber of the Federal Assembly.
