Russian Geographical Society Council noted Bashkiria for large-scale projects

On July 5 in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, participated in a visiting meeting of the Council of Regions and a youth rally of the Russian Geographical Society (RGS). Chairman of the Council of Regions of the Russian Geographical Society, Artyom Manukyan, noted that Bashkortostan actively participates in federal projects of the Russian Geographical Society.

Chairman of the Council of Regions of the Russian Geographical Society Artyom Manukyan presented Radiy Khabirov with a congratulatory letter in honor of the 70th anniversary of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society. Also, the Head of Bashkortostan was awarded the gratitude of the North Pole - Stratosphere 2024 project for fruitful cooperation.

Sergei Korlykhanov, representative of the executive directorate of the Russian Geographical Society, spoke about preparations for the anniversary events of the Bashkortostan branch of the Russian Geographical Society, which will be held in November 2024.

“Bashkortostan is my homeland. My parents and friends live here, and I am glad to watch how the republic, Ufa, and other cities develop. Indeed, in recent years, I have wanted to bring friends and colleagues here and show them the region. This year, we are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Russian Geographical Society in Bashkortostan; preparations have already begun. The department is developing well thanks to the support of the Board of Trustees and our local specialists' fruitful work,” noted Sergei Korlykhanov.

At the end of the meeting, Radiy Khabirov thanked the members of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society for their active work and presented state awards of Bashkortostan.
