Dagestan is ready to ban wearing of niqabs
The administration of the Head of the Republic reports on social media that the Muftiate of Dagestan will soon issue a fatwa banning the niqab.
The spiritual leader of the Muslims of Dagestan, Akhmad-Afandi Abdulaev, said this at a meeting of the head of the region with social activists.
“We will issue a fatwa banning the niqab. There will be only one truth. The Koran says: one truth, everything else is falsehood", the Mufti of Dagestan said.
On June 23, churches, synagogues and police were attacked in Makhachkala and Derbent, after which the controversy over niqabs escalated again.
As Bashinform reported earlier, the authorities of Bashkortostan expressed condolences to the victims of the terrorist attacks.
