Liliya Gumerova spoke at a Presidential Council on Science and Education meeting.

President Vladimir Putin chaired the event and outlined the priority tasks of Russian science. As the Head of State himself emphasized, the implementation of today’s plans and aspirations and our country's historical prospects depend on this.

Speaking at the meeting of the Council, the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture member of the Presidential Council on Science and Education, Liliya Gumerova, noted that in the updated Strategy for the scientific and technological development of the country, the proposal of the Federation Council to formulate their strategies in the regions found support. 20 areas are already participating in the pilot project, which the Federation Council and the Government of the Russian Federation are implementing.

The senator also drew attention to the most important topic related to the commercialization of the results of intellectual activity and the introduction of innovations. Several years ago, we changed the Civil Code; our committee and defense industry enterprises monitored their implementation. Today, it is essential to join forces so that these developments can be introduced into the real sector of the economy as quickly as possible.
