Agreement between Bashkortostan and Russian Ministry of Sports was concluded at SPIEF
On June 6, as part of the opening of the Russian Ministry of Sports stands at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum site, an agreement was signed to hold the XII International Sports Forum “Russia – a Sports Power” in Ufa. The event will occur at the Wrestling Palace in the fall of 2024.
The document was signed by Radiy Khabirov, the head of Bashkortostan, and Mikhail Degtyarev, the Russian Minister of Sports, in the presence of Dmitry Chernyshenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government.
The agreement provides for the implementation of joint projects and various events related to preparing the forum, forming its business and sports programs, and promoting the event at multiple levels.
In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government noted that by 2030, 70 percent of the country's population should play sports.
Russian Minister of Sports Mikhail Degtyarev said that Bashkortostan pays excellent attention to sports development. Therefore, the republic deservedly received the right to host the “Russia—a Sports Power” forum.
The head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, emphasized that Bashkortostan is ready to host the country’s leading sports forum.
